This is juts too good post! Or, I would say it’s life changing/saving technique! So many of us are not aware of this unfortunately. We often stay in the rut of complaining and thinking negative and in return manufacture the same results over and over again. We often don’t stop and think why? It’s because what we think and say is what produces the results, it’s simple as that.

Through your post, hopefully many of of us will start to think this way and therefore change our reality. We should keep in mind that, nothing changes in our environment, unless we change ourselves first.

Thank you for this amazing reminder.

    Hi Mikhail,

I really liked this post about affirmations. I am always open to discover new ways to enhance my overall wellbeing. Last year I stumbled upon Louise Hay. She has written many books and a lot about the power of positive affirmations. It helps me, especially in challenging times like these, to stay positive and not let negative events overwhelm me. Are you familiar with it?

    Keep up the good work!

    Kind regards,
    Catherine

Great article, Mikhail! i completely agree that positive affirmations are a great way to combat the negativity that surrounds us. I begin every morning by praying, reading a few scriptures out of God’s Word (Bible), reciting positive affirmations, as well as exercising. I find that this helps me to put the day into perspective, as well as helps me to focus on my God-given purpose for the day. I have saved this post and will definitely spread the word! God bless you!

    • Mikhail says:

Hi Carletta, that’s an excellent way to start the day. I’m gonna try and be more consistent with reading the scriptures. Great post on affirmations. I have used affirmations throughout my life. I just didn’t realize it at first. Even the little negative things we say to ourselves is a type of affirmation. Once I realized this truth, it was easier to change those thoughts to more productive positive thoughts.
Using affirmations can be tricky if you don’t do it correctly, don’t you agree?
You cannot put a sticky note on your bathroom mirror that says you are not over weight and look in the mirror and see that you are. They don’t work like that.
To make them work you need to write them in the future tense. Instead of saying “I am not over weight,” change it to, “I am doing things to help manage my weight and become lean. I am becoming lean.”
This way programs your mind to help you make better choices which lead to a loss of weight. This type of affirmation makes your mind, activates your RAS, to look for habits and actions to take to become lean. Is that how you understand using them too?

    Thanks

    • Mikhail says:

Thank you Greg for your insight about affirmations. I agree, there is a specific way to use affirmations, but it’s not difficult to learn. Also, you mentioned that even the negative things we say to ourselves are affirmations. This is also true because affirmations are things that we say or think about consistently. So, in that case, if you think and say negative things repeatedly, then you are using negative affirmations.

However, once we understand how to structure a positive affirmation. We’re able to take control of our internal dialogue, and allow everything to flow.

Based on my understanding of affirmations, it’s important to word them in the present-tense, because gradually the affirmations will sink into the subconscious mind.

I like the way you structured that affirmation, because you’ve phrased it in a way that makes it believable, and it’s very encouraging.

Thanks again, for your engaging comment, much appreciated.

      Blessings and Gratitude.
